Back to the Real World
The last month has been a blur. Most of my waking hours and free time was spent on journeying in the World of Warcraft. Pulling myself away from the keyboard after each session is tough. I am addicted!!! And hopelessly so.
A lot of detractors out there will ask me to get a life and say that gaming is an utter sheer waste of time. Well, to these detractors, I will ask them if there’s a difference between spending hours pounding the streets in Orchard Rd shopping, spending hours in front of the goggle box catching up on K/J-Dramas, and playing my beloved WoW. Ain’t much difference eh. Basically, we are all spending time on passive activities which doesn’t add much value, depending on how one defines value here, to one’s life.
Fact is, I still gotta keep gaming to within healthy levels, i.e. less than 2 hours for a 2 day period. It’s not that I do not wish to spend more time on other more ‘worthwhile’ activities such as reading, contacting my friends, learning new dishes or brushing up on my knowledge on what’s happening around the globe, but I am actually quite comfy with the amount of time I am spending on these activities right now. Have to admit that I should be spending more time on these. Guess that’s the reason why I will be drawing up a schedule, a la school timetable, to dictate my weekly/monthly activities.
Ok, I think it’s time to prepare dinner. Rest assured that I will continue to blog here. So do drop in with a line or two so that I know you guys are well.
