It was a WoW Weekend

Lapsed into the bad habit of playing too much WoW over the weekend. Can’t help it as I have been rather stressed at work and only WoW offers the sort of distraction, read non-serious activity, that takes my mind off problems and issues that I need to face when I go back to the office.

That said, it was a GREAT weekend!

My wife and I did enough to push our characters, or “toons”, close enough to smell level 68. For non-WoW players, the level ceiling is 70. We are now on the cusp of having our first level 70 toons. It’s an achievement of sorts since we became WoW players in 2006.

We took such a long time as we semi-retired our original toons and started with the current ones. Not only that, we went ‘cold-turkey’ for a few months last year to rid ourselves of the addiction as we started playing till wee hours almost everyday. Now we just play more over the weekend.

Next weekend will be different cos there’s so many movies to catch – Hancock, Hellboy2 and The Dark Knight. Just saw Hellboy on TV5 last night and I have to say that it has fired up my ‘want to watch’ factor for the next installment.

Just looking forward to a quiet, and hopefully peaceful, week in office.

Cold day at work

With all the talk of high energy prices, I am still getting frozen in the office. With the thermostat set at 24 degrees Celsius, it’s hard not to feel cold when it rains. Actually, it feels cold even when the weather outside is blazing hot. The maintenance guys should just tune up the thermo to 25-6 degrees. That’s a comfy level.

Had a great breakfast of roast pork siew bao and Portuguese egg tarts from my favourite stall in Chinatown. The lady boss, in my opinion, makes the nicest, read creamiest, egg filling for the tarts. The siew bao is incredible with its crunchy crust and well seasoned lean roast pork – char siow.

What a great way to start the day.

‘Hi’ from Azeroth (name of the World of Warcraft World)

Been away from the last few months as I was busy playing World of Warcraft (again), posting on HelloHallyu, and generally griping on life at work. Life at work ain’t great since my new boss manager came in. Using the word boss ain’t right since he doesn’t pay my wages. 

I am sure you can tell he ain’t my favourite person in office.

If there’s one wish I can fulfill now, it’s to struck TOTO and quit. Wishing him away won’t solve the problem of bad bosses since they are everywhere. Better to have a windfall and not having to work under another person again. that’s enough griping for 1 day.

Think I will do such short and sweet posts nowadays. Better short than nothing!
