Feeling Liberated

Not being able to embed videos in my blog has been a real bugbear for me since switching to wordpress from blogger. Today, I, with the help of my wife, finally learnt how to embed videos here. Yay!

The trailer from 300 was my first offering as I now share moving images with you guys. Below is a short clip, accompanied by an OST track, made by a fan of the korean drama – Man from the Vineyard (too lazy to type the chinese title today). Enjoy.

Apart from being a fantastic drama, its music is also really good. Being totally clueless to the genres of music out there, I can’t really put a finger on the type of music that were played throughout the entire series. I believe it is an eclectic mix of raggae, pop, sentimental and vocals, if the last is a genre at all.

The great thing is that each song in the OST brings back memories, and the emotions felt, of specific scenes in the series. It has been some time since music has been such a powerful evoker of emtions and images in me. Guess it speaks volume of how much the series has touched my life.

For those who have not seen the series yet, I strongly recommend it. Thereafter, I recommend that you get the OST too. I guarantee that it will not disappoint.

Inspiring lyrics which set me thinking about the woes of the world today. It’s high time that the music industry do some much needed soul-searching. Too much sex, violence, drug and hatred in today’s music. We live in a self-pitying, angry, delusional, sad society which has lost its way. Enjoy the lyrics.
